It has been a little while since we’ve posted an update, and there’s a pretty simple reason for that:
We’ve been busy.
Busy growing. Busy taking care of customers. Busy answering emergency calls, completing inspections, troubleshooting difficult systems, expanding our capabilities, and building Last Mann Standing into something much bigger than where it started.
What began as a technician-owned company with a straightforward belief — that customers deserved better service and technicians deserved a better way to provide it — has continued to grow into something we are incredibly proud of.
In a relatively short amount of time, Last Mann Standing has completed more than 500 jobs, grown to serve more than 140 customers, and maintained a 5.0-star rating on Google throughout that growth.
Those numbers matter to us because of what sits behind them.
Every job represents someone trusting us with their property, their system, and often their life-safety infrastructure. Every returning customer, referral, and additional property placed in our care tells us that the way we have chosen to build this company is working.
And maintaining a 5.0-star reputation while growing at this pace is something we are especially proud of.
Growth is easy to talk about.
Growing without allowing the quality of the work, responsiveness, communication, or customer experience to slip is the standard we have set for ourselves.
Over the past year, LMS has taken on larger properties, more complex systems, and a wider range of work throughout Florida. We are supporting commercial properties, universities, healthcare facilities, multifamily communities, businesses, and organizations with fire alarm, life-safety, security, monitoring, and low-voltage services.
As the work has grown, so has the level of trust being placed in us.
Customers call us not only for routine service and inspections, but when something is genuinely wrong and they need someone willing to figure it out.
We’ve handled major fire alarm inspections, programming issues, lightning and surge-damaged systems, repeated false alarms, monitoring conversions, emergency service calls, system modifications, equipment failures, and troubleshooting situations where the answer wasn’t immediately obvious.
That has always been the kind of work we wanted to be known for.
We are not interested in simply replacing parts until a problem disappears.
We want to understand the system, identify the actual failure, make the correct repair, and leave the customer with something that works the way it is supposed to.
Sometimes that means replacing equipment. Sometimes it means correcting programming. Sometimes it means tracing wiring, reviewing system history, coordinating with other trades, or spending the extra time required to find the real problem.
That approach has helped us build relationships with customers who continue bringing us back, trusting us with additional properties, and referring us to others.
And as those relationships have grown, so has the team behind the work.
Last Mann Standing began as a one-man operation. Today, we are building a stronger team around the same technician-first mentality that started the company.
Technician-owned, for technicians has never just been a slogan.
It means the people making decisions understand what it is like to be standing in front of the panel trying to diagnose the fault. It means understanding the pressure of an emergency call, the responsibility that comes with life-safety systems, and the importance of giving technicians the support they need to do the job correctly.
As LMS continues to grow, protecting that culture matters to us.
We want to build a company where good technicians are trusted, supported, challenged, and given the opportunity to do work they can be proud of.
At the same time, our technical capabilities continue to expand. We are working across an increasingly broad range of fire alarm, security, monitoring, access control, emergency communication, and low-voltage platforms while continuing to invest in the training, certifications, equipment, software, and resources needed to properly support the systems our customers depend on.
But while the company has changed considerably, some things have not.
We still believe customers should have options.
We still believe systems should remain serviceable whenever possible.
We still believe the answer to every difficult service problem should not automatically be, “replace the entire system.”
And we still believe answering the phone, showing up when you say you will, communicating with the customer, and standing behind your work should be the standard — not the exception.
There have been long days behind the growth of LMS. Late nights, emergency calls, difficult projects, unexpected problems, and plenty of moments where building a growing company has tested everyone involved.
But there has also been an incredible amount of support.
Every customer who trusted us with another property. Every facility manager who called us back. Every contractor who brought us into another project. Every referral. Every customer who remembered our number when something went wrong because they knew we would answer.
That is what has built Last Mann Standing.
And we do not take any of it for granted.
As we move through the rest of 2026 and into the next stage of the company, the goal really has not changed.
We want to do excellent work, take care of our customers, take care of our technicians, continue learning, continue improving, and build the kind of company we always wished existed when we were the ones working in the field.
So, what’s next?
All gas. No brakes.
We are proud of how far Last Mann Standing has come.
500+ jobs.
140+ customers.
5.0 stars.
Those numbers are not the finish line.
They are proof that we are headed in the right direction.
Thank you to every customer, partner, technician, contractor, facility manager, and friend who has trusted us and helped us get here.
We’re still standing.
And we’re just getting started.
Last Mann Standing, L.L.C.
Technician-owned, for technicians.
We fix what others can’t.
